Modreeney – SOLD

Modreeney is a 4yo gelding by Famous Name that ran in 5 Irish bumpers during 2021 winning on one occasion for Denis Hogan.  He showed a good bit of speed to win here and is clearly a tough sound sort having run 4 times in 11 weeks up to September and ready to go on over hurdles so I bought him on spec at Doncaster Sales.

Racing Post website said the following of his run:

‘MODREENEY was well placed to get off the mark at the fourth attempt, providing his rider with a first winner in six years from an admittedly limited number of rides. He appears to be versatile in terms of ground so he might not be totally limited in terms of a campaign later into the year. There is scope for him to be effective over an obstacle too.’
