Mahler x Ballcrina Girl (Milan)
I bought Dawn Supreme on spec at the Cheltenham Sale. He is a 4yo with an attractive pedigree by Mahler out of a Milan mare who has produced a Black Type jumper in Crooks Peak. Mahler is the sire of classy staying chasers Chris’s Dream, The Real Whacker & The Big Dog.
He was beaten less than a length on his only start for Denis Murphy in a race in which his opponents all had experience and time will tell he was the one to take out of the race. His 5yo half-brother won a bumper on his first start under rules at Musselburgh for Sandy Thomson in December since I bought him.
Irish Point to Point website said the following:
‘DAWN SUPREME (IRE) fared best of the newcomers. He stayed on strongly but could not quite get to Rossbridge from after two out and was only run out of second close home by the fast-finishing Good Cody. This debut was full of promise and he will be very hard to beat in a similar type contest in the coming weeks.’
He came with a clean vetting, stands at 16:1 and a half hands.
