Jeremy Central – SOLD

Jeremy Central is an 8yo gelding who had been placed in 7 of his 10 Irish points for Ciaran Fennessy (3 career winners) who trained him for his owner/breeders.

He is a half-brother to West Country point winner, Tip Top Mountain, who won for Ian Chanin between the flags and then twice for Robert Walford over fences under rules this season.

On his final start in Ireland on the 12th December, he was in command when making a right horlicks of the last where unfortunately his young rider (who has yet to ride a winner) lost his irons, costing him the race.

He arrived with me in December, won his 16 runner maiden at Buckfastleigh on 16th Jan showing the staying and jumping qualities which have been a feature of all his runs so far over 3 miles in Heavy ground beating a number of subsequent winners and then went on to win again in a restricted on the 27th Feb at Great Trethew, again outstaying the opposition on the gruelling hill to win going away in what was becoming holding ground and again with subsequent winners behind.

He then tried to make-all in a Ladies race in Heavy ground and would have won but for idling ( Sent for home a long way out), before his latest run where he was odds-on but in reality he’d probably had enough for the season. It was his 6th run since November, we had been getting him ready to run for 4 weeks in a row waiting for some slower ground but he never travelled from the start . His rider looked-after him and he pulled up sound before the last. With a summer at grass he will be perfect for next season.

Life will be tough in open points taking on 130 rated horses at level weights but getting a mark which allows him to run at his level at places like Chepstow & FFos Las in the mud, he would be a really fun tough horse for the winter.
