Pigeon Forge (Ire) 2021

A ten-length winner of a maiden at Necarne in May, Pigeon Forge was the top-priced pointer at the Goffs July Sale in Doncaster.
She put her experience to good use being ridden patiently before quickening once hitting the front to win going away for Colin Bowe. Eleven started but there were officially sixty-five lengths between the first five at the line.
She is out of a Beneficial half-sister to Ferny Hollow and has had a great six weeks of summer grass here at Webb Hill Farm.
P2P.ie said the following:
‘The opening contest of the day saw eleven four-year-old mares go to post, nine of them had previous experience, and Pigeon Forge justified favouritism with an easy victory. Pigeon Forge, third on debut at Tullaherin in April, this daughter of Well Chosen, who is out of a three-time winning half-sister to Grade 1 victor Ferny Hollow, was acquired for E26,000 at the Tattersalls Derby Sale. Always prominent, she made her move to join and pass the leader at the back of three out, holding a comfortable advantage into the straight. Travelling notably better than her rivals, she stretched clear to score by an easy 10 lengths. This was a smart performance from a mare who looks sure to make her presence felt on the track.’
